Crafting without Limits

Whitney Anderson

The lovely people at LoveCrafts nominated me for The Motivated Multi Craft Blog 2020! This was such a sweet surprise, and I'm so honored and excited to be nominated for a craft-related award for the first time ever! You can click the badge below to vote for me! Thanks in advance!

I wanted to write a blog to share a list of the crafts things I love to do! (in no particular order)

What I do:

  • Crochet
  • Knit
  • Embroidery
  • Sewing
  • Clay Sculpting
  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • Woodwork
  • Resin
  • & I'm always learning more!

My "Why":

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my “why” and how it changes from time to time. Crafting used to just be a general creative outlet for me, but it’s evolved into so much more and it’s constantly evolving with me.

Right now? Crafting is giving me insight into who I am as a person at this point in my life. As a mom, and a wife, it’s common to pour so much into others that we don’t really know ourselves. I’m definitely guilty of this! When I create, I tap into a part of me that is self-serving, expresses my feelings, and tends to my individuality. I use multiple mediums and art forms because I don’t want any restrictions.

I share my creativity to share a piece of me with others, and to inspire others to tap into themselves. In a sense, we’re discovering me, together! So thank you for coming along with me on this creative journey of self-discovery!!
