I get asked about my creative process often. If I had to describe my process in two words, it would be “follow through.” Today I want to talk about what following through means for me in this season, and also, what it doesn’t mean.
In order to follow through, my creative process has 3 parts: idea, plan, and create. The process is not always smooth, nor is it linear. I tend to “go with the flow” to create my best work, but even that requires some preparation.
I claimed 2020 as the year of “Follow Through” for me. With this daily practice of following through and being intentional, I noticed that my mindset is shifting. The things that I used to dwell on are no longer rooted in my mind, which has left me with room to plant new seeds. One new seed that I have planted in my mind is the act of adding value to my life. For those of you who have followed my pregnancy, this blog is a major update! If you haven't followed closely, here's the backstory. I was hospitalized in July for a complication with my pregnancy. At only 23 weeks, the main goal was keeping me healthy and keeping me pregnant for as long as possible.
